5 Minute Mojo
Just one more day of Level 1 — get ready for your child and you to earn the first Pride Point! Today, your child will keep warming up to the alphabet with the same materials you used yesterday. Repetition and impact are crucial to learning the alphabet and learning to read — it’s not cheating to read the same book twice. Read the first eBook together with your child, or watch the first video in the series, and listen to the The Legend of Sunmoon Pride song together. Talk to your child about the adventure ahead, in unlocking all the letters of the alphabet through a journey with the animals of the world. Pump them up for success and remember to go back to the Level 1 landing page to claim your Pride Point and pass the first level!
Teaching Tip:
The joy of learning at home is that it is unstructured, creative, and free. Encourage your child to go play and let them discover their interests themselves. It’s okay to let your child be “bored” for five minutes — they will find a creative way to have fun!

Activities
Map Time- Not to be confused with “nap time”! iKnow brings children around the world, to many different continents and habitats. Find a map at home (an old atlas, globe, a puzzle, or even Google Earth) and spend a few minutes exploring the map with your child. Show them where you live on the map, and where your relatives live. Show them continents like Africa and South America, where the Sunmoona Pride lives. Look at the oceans and talk about the fish that swim in the sea. Just a few minute with a colorful map will pique their curiosity about the world!
