The purpose of this activity is to show your children the correct way to write the letters of the alphabet. Again we are correlating the first letter of each animals name with the letter we’re teaching and your children are learning! After your children write each letter you can cut along the dotted line around the letter and animal. You can ask your children to then match the letters they wrote with the letter or animal card you just created!
- Click on each letter
- Print the file
- Give your children at least three (3) different letters at a time
- Trace the letter with your children
- Ask questions. Keep your children engaged. Encourage a positive experience.
- Provide guidance when needed.
- Give lots of positive reinforcement “wow that’s a great ‘a’”, I love our letter ‘q’”, what is your favorite animal? Wow I like the animal too!
