5 Minute Mojo

Skipping all the way down to the letter “Z,” your child will learn about the peaceful Zebra. The black and white Zebra is the Peacemaker of the Pride, and he will teach your child about the meaning of peace, tolerance, and more as their discovery of the Legend continues. Return to the third book, watch “The Secret Letter Z,” and encourage your child to start playing some of the online games in the digital library. By now, they know a lot of animals and letters, and the games will reinforce their knowledge and push them to start learning more.
Teaching Tip:

New words show up every day for your child. Take five minutes to make positive and negative models of new words. For example, if your child is dressing for the winter, show your child “This is a mitten,” versus a glove (“This is NOT a mitten. This is a glove.”).

Momspirations:

“Peace begins with a smile.” Mother Teresa

Activities
Peace, Man! – Teach your child the hand sign for “peace” (the V made from your index and middle fingers). Talk to your child about what peace is, what the hand sign means, and why it is so important. Tell them that peace means being kind to all beings on the planet, that peace and love are connected, and remind them how much you love them! Peace is a big idea and they might not get it right now, but it is important to introduce them to the concept.
